A little experiment in exploring a visual identity for my illustration. The little squiggle spells out a rough SK for my initials, and becomes centre stage for a series of illustration that suggest ideas of connections and threads between concepts. The Singer sewing machine is present as it is always the way I bind my work, reinforcing the idea of threads and continuity. Little transparent sleeves are made as parcels for each handmade book, acting as both a business card and a wrapping paper for the present inside. And ofcourse, the lasercut kitties just have to be present in the photos.
